NAME:-Iain Robert/ ?????

AGE:-??

such as it is. started back in 75/76......old roller skate bolted to hunks a wood.
went on to get a supa skuda ,blue plexi glass or summat. open bearings.
a whole buncha ve us used to skate doen the smoothest streets in ma neighbourhood.
first decent board was an Alva 30/8(?)ACS trucks and wee green kryptonics(still have em) many boards came and went.
got into slalom for a while...........went the usual....cheap deck.......g+s slalom deck..santa cruz slalom deck...ick stick.
(also have a sims racing/turner summer ski). i enjoyed it more than i was good at it.
managed a third in the scottish nationals, but as there was barely double figures competing,as i say doin it for fun.
edinburgh had a bit of a scene with Dee and Ian Urquhart. we used to slalom round the back of the sports centre, happy days.
Sadly Ian passed when i was 19/20.(1984/85?)..........pretty much stopped.i think Kenny Omond in Livi kept things going, but it was over for me.
skated off and on since then, mainly off.dunno why but i feel like havin another blast...possibly a sad attempt to regain youth.
getting a board set up via the moar excellent Surey Skates?via Focus in edinburgh.

i will almost certainly fall and crack a hip or summat, but i could not give a flying fuck.

the thot of that magic rolling board beckons again...
